Assistance Dog Awareness Week Event
August 11 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

August is Assistance Dog Awareness Week, and we are celebrating the important role assistance dogs play in promoting independence and accessibility.
This month, the Winston-Salem Mayor’s Council for Persons with Disabilities is hosting a special presentation at Solutions for Independence featuring Chris Flynt of Blind Power Company and Amber Laudicina of Koda Dog Training. Learn about the role of service dogs, common misconceptions, and the differences between service dogs and emotional support animals.
The meeting is available in person and virtually. See the flyer for details on how to join.
